Miura recently hit the road in Japan with his new tour van, which features a replica of Miura's factory production line. From within the van, Mr. Miura and his sons Yoshitaka and Shinei are able to demonstrate the art of iron forging and the integral steps necessary in the forging process. Yoshitaka is the Director of the Finishing Division and younger brother Shinei is the Director of the Forging Division.

The tour van is currently following select Tour events, and will continue to travel throughout Japan during the coming months. In light of the success of Miura irons in the United States, plans for a North American version of the tour van are not far away. Our hope is that the van could appear at various events or tours throughout North America.

Mr. Miura would like to extend his sincere gratitude to all golfers who use his clubs. He is truly humbled by the support.

The interest in Mr. Miura's Left Landed models has been overwhelming. Those who have been fortunate enough to hit the prototypes have raved about the "feel and balance". Advance orders arrive daily. Miura 鍛造球桿的生產過程

Miura 鍛造球桿是採用軟鋼和14個傳統工序生產,當中有很多工序都是三浦勝弘先生獨特和專有的生產方法。每一個生產步驟都是由三浦勝弘先生親自監控。

以下是其中 11 個主要生產鍛造球桿的工序和生產過程

  1. 開始是使用一枝圓柱形的軟鐵。把這支軟鐵加熱到1200*C以維持軟鐵的特性,

  2. 每支加熱後的軟鐵,然後放入鍛造機內用鍛造的鐵鎚打擊。使用精確的力量來創造出桿頭的初形。

  3. 然後將初形修剪,放入鍛造機內用鍛造鐵鎚和精確的力量來打擊第二次。再將桿頭深一層精鍊和將過剩的金屬分離。Miura 球桿的獨特份子結構由此工序開始。

  4. 再次放入鍛造機經過精確的力量鍛造第3次和第4次,將桿頭再次深一層精鍊,最後確定桿頭牢固的;平穩的和一致的份子結構。完成此階段,桿頭完全變得平滑和無瑕疵的。

  5. 然後在桿頭壓上數字,名稱和刻痕線。

  6. 桿頭頸部是分開生產並採用高品質的鋼製造,頸部與桿頭的熔接是採用三浦勝弘先生專有的旋轉熔接技術。旋轉熔接方法可以調節連接物精確地保持桿頭的桿面和躺地的角度,這典型和獨特的方式在工業界還未被超越的技術。

  7. 專業研磨師,意思是祇有專業或低差點打球者才能感覺到桿頭微小的重量差別。三浦技研的桿頭重量差別是少於1克。在整個鍛造過程當中發現三浦勝弘先生的基礎調節桿頭重量的能力是無疑的。經過精確的研磨和磨光技術將桿頭調節到精確的重量和完美的境界。而不像其他工廠所生產出來的桿頭重量不一,影響高球手的發揮。

  8. 完美的磨光是不能單靠人手完成。三浦先生再將桿頭放入他特製的鐐銬磨光旋轉大桶機內做最後磨光的程序。最後達到3種不同的磨光效果,分別由“震動”、“離心”和“乾磨”等3種技術而成

  9. 為了給擊球者達到完美的擊球感覺,三浦先生使用鉻或鎳鍍上桿頭的桿面及將銅加入鍍鎳內。
    三浦先生專有的電鍍技術,可將未經打磨的桿頭電鍍。

  10. 用膠布遮蓋桿頭再放入沙桶內做衝擊的工序。桿面被砂礫衝擊後,領桿面緊咬球的感覺加強。

  11. 桿頭的顏色是用壓印方式,最後將每一個桿頭驗收。
